Physiotherapist to Primary Care East

About the workplace

Primary Care East operates in both Sala and Västerås. The clinic provides primary care by meeting the residents' needs for basic internal medicine specialist care, specialized palliative care, advanced home care via AH teams, and qualified rehabilitation efforts, as well as mobile primary care teams in collaboration with the municipalities' home care services.

In Sala, there is a primary care department (Ward 1), an AH team, and a primary care team, a medical reception, and a rehabilitation unit. In Västerås, the clinic is tasked with running a primary care department (NÄVA). There is a specialized palliative ward, a palliative advisory team, an AH team, and a primary care team, as well as a palliative reception.

At the Rehabilitation Unit, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, and rehab assistants work. We provide rehabilitation resources to all our units in Sala but also have a physiotherapy reception, speech therapy and social work reception, as well as team-based outpatient care. We work from a person-centered approach.

Job Responsibilities

You will work at our physiotherapy reception combined with work at EPOS. EPOS is the orthopedic elective surgery unit in Sala where hip and knee surgeries are performed, and where we provide physiotherapy resources.

As a physiotherapist at our reception, you will meet patients in various areas, primarily in orthopedics, but there is also an opportunity to work in other functional areas as our assignment is broad.

The work includes physiotherapeutic tasks such as assessment, treatment, training, and advice individually or in groups, as well as prescribing aids.

At EPOS, the tasks include early mobilization of newly operated patients - hip and knee arthroplasty, reviewing training programs, handling referrals, and providing postoperative information.

Supervision of students is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist, preferably with a few years of experience in healthcare. We would like you to have experience or interest in orthopedic rehabilitation, but also knowledge in the internal medicine area, such as neurology, COPD, cardiac rehabilitation, and diabetes. We also value if you have an interest or experience in business development and digitalization. Furthermore, we see that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license since travel is required in the position.

As a person, you are calm and stable and can focus on the right things. You have a positive attitude towards your work and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize in your work. You easily adapt to new circumstances and can quickly change your perspective. You work well with others, listen, and communicate in a responsive way with both colleagues and patients.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment. 75-100%. Daytime Monday-Friday. B driver's license. Start date by agreement.
